Already holding the ISO 22000 standard, Établissements DOUCY obtained FSSC 22000 certification – Food Safety System Certification 22000 – at the beginning of 2017.
The FSSC 22000 standard is the first global food safety standard specifically designed for the certification of the manufacturing and processing of food products and ingredients. FSSC 22000 complements existing food safety standards. It combines ISO 22000, the only standard for food safety management systems, and PAS 220, a standard developed to specify the requirements for food safety prerequisite programs in the food industry.
The aim of the FSSC 22000 certification scheme is to complement the requirements of ISO 22000 in order to meet those necessary for GFSI recognition (Global Food Safety Initiative which also includes BRC and IFS).
The objectives of FSSC 22000 certification are:
Since 2017, Établissements DOUCY have held the FCA – Feed Chain Alliance – certificate, a unique quality standard in the animal feed industry, which guarantees food safety and quality throughout the entire supply chain, from its source to the final buyer: the farmer.
The FCA standard, internationally accepted and respected, benefits from mutual recognition with the main industry standards – GMP+ International, QS, GTP, CSA GTP…
The FCA standard encompasses all activities that may be carried out by a company operating in the animal feed sector – production of raw materials, compound feed, premixes, transport, storage, trading…
By “animal feed”, we mean:
Some of our products, such as vanilla extract, are certified organic with the European organic label CERTISYS. Other products are currently undergoing certification.
